October Flowers (and Showers!?)

After watching Martha last week, I learned that now is the time to plant bulbs to bloom in the sping. So I went to the nursery and bought a bunch of tulips and crocuses, which I planted in the front yard yesterday.

I also bought these pretty mums and planted them in a big pot. I think they're quite lovely!

And I'm excited that the newspaper predicts rain for tomorrow. Yay! Not only will I be able to fully embrace fall, but I'll get to skip a day of watering my new flowers.
